“Born Again”
A Living Christian Identity
Fellowship in an organization using the name “Christian” does not assure access to heaven. Jesus made it clear: “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”John 3:7
Affiliation with a religious organization may offer encouragement, but it can also dilute and divert the Gospel with man-made rituals, ceremonies, and even perverted doctrine.
More than a brand name, Christianity requires a personal, living, lifestyle relationship directly with God powered by His Holy Spirit–the same, almighty, creative power that hung over the waters on the first day of the creation of Planet Earth.
The moment Eve and Adam bit into the forbidden fruit, sin corrupted the human genome so that all descendants have been infected with the killer tendency to sin. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. When choosing to follow Jesus and become a Christian, the miracle of being awarded a new identity as a son or daughter of God is open to all.
Pray, invite the Holy Spirit to guide your life, be baptized, symbolizing your justification and your sins have been washed away, obey God’s commandments, and remain faithful to Jesus.
Your new identity will be evident as you grow in grace reflecting Christ’s perfect character. ”Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” Galatians 5:22, 23 “Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience… Forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” Colossians 3:12,13
